There is a saying in Brazil: “The best of Brazil is the Brazilian people.”
It captures the spirit of this big country: a special richness of people full of warmth, kindness, strength, and joy.
With this idea, I created this space to inspire everyone who loves new cultures. Here, I share true stories from both Brazilians and foreigners who experienced Brazil in a meaningful and life-changing way.

Meet the Creator
I’m Aline Brito — creator, interviewer, curator, scriptwriter, passionate about travel and birthday cake since 1986! 🎂✈️
Throughout my life, I’ve had the opportunity to live outside of Brazil, but saudade always brought me back to my roots.
From this desire to reconnect with my culture and identity, Balaio Experience was born — an independent project created to share real stories and reveal an authentic Brazil, beyond the typical tourist routes.

2023 | The Beginning
After years of the pandemic, nostalgia and saudade grew even stronger.
After over a decade abroad, I decided to take a sabbatical year and travel through Brazil for six months.
It was during this journey of reconnection with people, nature, and culture — from Chapada Diamantina to Lençóis Maranhenses — that Balaio Experience was born: a space to tell stories that go beyond tourist stereotypes and reveal a Brazil rich in culture, gastronomy, and natural diversity.🌅
